Our company is a Silicon Valley based biotech startup focusing on non-invasive diagnostics to facilitate early detection of cancer. Our assay development team is developing a library preparation platform that will provide themost diverse analysis of multiple analytes in plasma. It will deliver unparalleled accuracy of cancer detection from a minimal amount of patient blood samples. We are looking for a highly motivated research associate tojoin our Assay Development team.


Key Responsibilities

·  Plan, execute and interpret experiments;

·  Analyze data, evaluate results, form conclusions, and recommend future experiments;

·  Ensure accurate and consistent recording of experiment methods, materials and results; keep a high-quality laboratory notebook;

·  Communicate and work efficiently with other groups within R&D team; 

·  Adjust work schedule to meet time-sensitive project milestones;


Job requirements

·  MS/BS degree in biology or related fields; 3+ years of working experience in industry or academia preferred;

·  Strong problem-solving skills with close attention to details; well organized and efficient;

·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills and time management skills are must;

·  Knowledge and experience in molecular biology methods, including PCR, qPCR and DNA/RNA purification preferred;

·  Experience with handling different samples types, including cells, plasma is a plus; 

·  Ability to work collaboratively with team members and/or across different function groups;

·  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
